Lavender Tripawd Recovery T-Shirt – Soft Cotton Jersey – Custom Sewn for Amputees
A soft, breathable recovery t-shirt made especially for tripawd dogs. Designed to be kind, comfortable and practical for those first days after surgery, and pretty enough to keep wearing every day after they heal.
Vets have dressed dogs in this style of shirt after surgery to protect the wound, keep it clean, and help stop licking and scratching – a gentle alternative to a cone for many dogs. The soft cotton jersey is breathable and light, so it’s comfortable to wear while healing and still lovely as an everyday t-shirt once the fur grows back.
Elasticated hem gently hugs the body so the t-shirt stays in place and doesn’t ride down or slip under the feet while your tripawd is learning to balance and walk on three legs.
How it works – please choose your amputation:
We sew each shirt with no sleeve on the amputated side for a smooth, comfortable finish with no empty fabric flapping:
- Left front leg amputation = no sleeve on the left front
- Right front leg amputation = no sleeve on the right front
- Left rear leg amputation = no sleeve on the left rear (shirt is shorter on that side)
- Right rear leg amputation = no sleeve on the right rear (shirt is shorter on that side)
This gives a neat, closed edge over the shoulder / hip, so nothing rubs the incision and the shirt stays in place.

Please measure your dog’s chest around the widest part and length from base of neck to base of tail and compare to the finished shirt measurements below:
- XS: Chest [35 cm] / Length [16 cm] / Neck [20 cm]
- S: Chest [45 cm] / Length [21 cm] / Neck [ cm]
- M: Chest [__ cm] / Length [__ cm] /Neck [ cm]
- L: Chest [80 cm] / Length [39 cm] /Neck [ 52 cm]
- XL: Chest [__ cm] / Length [__ cm] /Neck [ cm]
Cotton has no stretch like lycra but it has some stretch, so if your dog is between sizes please size up.
Fabric & Care:
Soft cotton jersey – breathable and machine washable at 30°. Tumble low or line dry.
