Autumn is arriving and 3 legged dogs need coats to cover and keep the wound / scar clean.
This coat can also be worn many years after the operation as it is not a recovery coat. It is a proper everyday water-resistant winter coat, adapted for dogs with one front leg.
The Details:
Outer: Ripstop nylon — lightweight, waterproof and tough
Lining: Soft fleece throughout for warmth
Fit: Zip on the back with Velcro fastening so the back width is flexible — important if there is still swelling
Easy on: The zip opens from the bottom right all the way up to the collar to give maximum spread, especially helpful if the wound is new and sensitive
Collar: Turtle neck fleece collar — high and cosy, no draughts
Safety: Reflective binding on the sides for dark autumn walks
Hem: Elastic hem under the belly for a snug fit without pressure
How to dress your dog:
Put the head through the turtleneck collar first and then the front leg through the sleeve. After this, pull the left side over the body and close the zip from the bottom up. Attach the Velcro strips across the chest — you can adjust how tight you need it.
This coat is shown for a left front leg amputation. It can also be made for a right leg amputation — just message me which side.
