This tartan heritage dog coat is a proper everyday winter outdoor coat, specially designed for 3-legged dogs with a left front leg amputation.
It is not a recovery coat, but it can also be worn during recovery. The coat provides coverage over the body and helps protect the healing area from dirt and wet weather while your dog is outside.
Once your dog's leg has fully healed, the coat can continue to be worn as a warm, practical winter coat for years to come.

The Details:
Outer: Cotton tartan — attractive, durable and perfect for an autumn or winter country look
Lining: Quilted polyester lining — warm and comfortable
Fit: Zip on the back with Velcro fastening so the back width can be adjusted for a more flexible fit
Easy on: The back zip opens widely to make dressing easier, particularly for dogs who don't like having clothing pulled over their heads
Collar: Soft, cosy turtle-neck collar for extra warmth around the neck
Sleeve: One front-leg sleeve, positioned for the dog's remaining front leg
Hem: Elasticated under the belly for a comfortable fit without unnecessary pressure
How to dress your dog:
Put the dog's head through the turtle-neck collar first, then place the remaining front leg into the sleeve.
Pull the coat gently over the body and close the back zip from the bottom upwards. Attach the Velcro fastening across the chest and adjust it for a comfortable fit.
This coat is made for a right front leg amputation.
If your dog has a right front leg amputation, please message me as I can make the coat to suit the opposite side. (Might not have the exact fabric left, but we can discuss it)
