A cosy winter essential for sighthounds who really feel the chill. This handmade fleece jumper combines a classic red / navy / green heritage tartan with a high, fold-over snood neck and long sleeves for extra warmth on cold walks.
Why this fleece is cut differently:
This is a soft, mid-weight polyester polar fleece with a gentle, natural give — not a super-stretchy lycra / elastane. To make it easy to pull on over the head with no fiddly zips or velcro, I cut this style a little more generously through the chest and shoulders. The result is a relaxed, comfortable fit that stays cosy without pulling tight.
The underside is cut slightly shorter, too. It keeps the jumper cleaner on muddy walks and makes toileting much easier — especially for boys.

How to find the right size:
Measure from the base of the neck (where the collar normally sits) to the base of the tail. That length is the size you need. As this polar fleece has less stretch than jersey, if your dog is between sizes please go up a size.

Fire safety: This fleece has NOT been treated with a flame retardant. Please keep well away from open flames, heaters and fireworks. Never leave your dog unattended near a heat source.
Wearing safely:
Please supervise while wearing. If your dog chews the fabric or seems uncomfortable, remove the jumper straight away. For comfort and safety you should be able to slide two fingers under the chest area. If it feels tight, take it off.
This is everyday pet clothing, not PPE or protective wear.
Care: Machine wash at 30°C, tumble dry on low. Keep away from fire.
Handmade note: As every piece is cut and sewn individually from existing fabric, the exact placement of the tartan pattern will vary slightly and colours may look a little different in different light.
Regulations: Made to comply with UK General Product Safety Regulations 2005. As animal apparel, this item is not subject to children’s nightwear flammability labelling. It contains no small parts.
